If you’re a filmmaker, production studio or anything in between and you haven’t heard about the MōVI then you’re missing out. This is the latest innovation in camera support and stabilization and is set to change the game for camera operators and DPs everywhere.

Check out this video that the guys over at The Music Bed put together at this years IN[FOCUS] conference.

“I like really good movies…When I first moved to New York there was a place next door to my apartment called Kim’s Video which was a sort of artsy video store. Instead of arranging the videos by title, they had them arranged by director or even photographer, so I educated myself. I went through the Godard section in one week and then Pasolini. I like surprising and compelling movies. To me, comedies are usually the least funny movies. Movies that are actually a comedy are usually not all that funny. To me Goodfellas and Raging Bull are two of the funniest movies I ever saw.”- Louis C.K.

And now, the obligatory business speech…

Whether it’s an online advertisement or staff training, video is always about telling stories.

As people increasingly consume information in small snippets through smartphones and social media, it has become more and more important to find creative ways of engaging with the customers that you’re trying to attract.

To effectively convey your message to your target market through video, we at Bright Harbour believe that telling your potential customers the story of your message is far more compelling and engaging than simply lecturing to them.

We want to explore your organisation and discover the stories that can be told there. We’ll do pre-interviews with the people involved with the project you want us to work on; the directors, the employees, and even talk to some of your customers. We want to find the characters that will make your target market emotionally invested in the message that you want to deliver to them.

Through this detailed research we will be able to discover a plot that, like all stories, has a beginning, middle, and end. We’ll use this plot to outline a script and shot list to you, with detailed storyboards to show you how we intend to tell your story.

Once this consultation process is complete and you’re satisfied with our plan, we can start production. Contact us today to start this collaborative process.

‘Spike: The Mind of a Warrior’ is a unique piece focusing on boxing champion Gary ‘Spike’ O'Sullivan of Celtic Warriors Boxing Gym in Dublin, as he prepares to defend his WBO International title against British and Commonwealth middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders. This documentary explores the psychological effects of the training and conditioning .

Principal photography took place in June and July 2013. Spike was primarily filmed on a RED Scarlet-X cinema camera, with some shots filmed using Canon DSLRs and GoPro Hero 2’s.

Bright Harbour and our co-producers Red Mutt are currently in early post-production on Spike, and exploring broadcast and distribution options.
