After Michael Mann set out to direct Collateral, the story’s setting moved from New York to Los Angeles. This decision was in part motivated by the unique visual presence of the city — especially the way it looked at night. Mann shot a majority of the film in HD (this was 2004), feeling the format better captured the city’s night lighting. Even the film’s protagonist taxi needed a custom coat to pick up different sheens depending on the type of artificial lighting the cab passed beneath. That city, at least as it appears in Collateral and countless other films, will never be the same again. L.A. has made a vast change-over to LED street lights, with New York City not far behind. Read on for why Hollywood will never look the same again — on film or otherwise.
Whether it’s an online advertisement or staff training, video is always about telling stories.
As people increasingly consume information in small snippets through smartphones and social media, it has become more and more important to find creative ways of engaging with the customers that you’re trying to attract.

To effectively convey your message to your target market through video, we at Bright Harbour believe that telling your potential customers the story of your message is far more compelling and engaging than simply lecturing to them.
We want to explore your organisation and discover the stories that can be told there. We’ll do pre-interviews with the people involved with the project you want us to work on; the directors, the employees, and even talk to some of your customers. We want to find the characters that will make your target market emotionally invested in the message that you want to deliver to them.
Through this detailed research we will be able to discover a plot that, like all stories, has a beginning, middle, and end. We’ll use this plot to outline a script and shot list to you, with detailed storyboards to show you how we intend to tell your story.

Once this consultation process is complete and you’re satisfied with our plan, we can start production. Contact us today to start this collaborative process.
